As well as the well-known names - Hymer; N/B; Pilote etc - who else makes A class motorhomes?

Good/bad/ugly.....?

Trying to widen my choice.

Thank you in advance.

Wivvy.......I would think now most if not all the European motorhome makers have a "A" class in most of there range/models... as it seems more and more people are going onto "A" class...and also they seem to be getting larger every year..take your pick:winky:

Chausson have just come out with one this year..................

I like the new Burstner Elegance. It's a big beast but way too expensive for me:Sad:

My personal opinion of course, I don't like the A-classes that I have come across. The driver and passenger doors are a joke, how do they pass the stringent safety requirements. They have the aerodynamics of a shoe box. The windscreen headlights, in fact anything not original will cost you an arm and a leg to replace.
Corrosion problems with sections of the chassis cross members are very common and I think they look ugly.......Apart from a few that is. Like Treacle's Jims and JJs:winky:

Inside layouts leave a lot to be desired and what is that drop down bed all about. Nah not for me.....Give me Bob's Wini any day.:thumb:

Apologies to the Adria fans - how could I forget?
Also I see that Knaus are back in the game with 3 A-class models (I thought they had stopped making them although there will also be some second hand examples of their earlier 'high-tech-looking' models about).

p.s. for Buttons - I notice from your avatar that your preferred transport looks remarkably like an A-Class of very small proportions - perhaps you are really a 'closet A-class lover' but haven't realised it yet!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Plenty of american A class as well starting around 26' much more inside for your money you can find plenty around 20-30k.....always worth a look.....due to diferent import criteria up to 2002 they tend to be max 8' wide as well so much more euro sized.

There not all the size of mine

Just a thought

All the best Rick

AT 200K I probably could but I think I prefer a quid on the lottery and get one out of the box ::bigsmile:--www.google.co.uk/search?q=dethleffs+premium+liner&hl=en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=PG4IUKiqFsSk0QXHkajSBA&sqi=2&ved=0CE4QsAQ&biw=1152&bih=669
IT was one of those things that simply stood out way above the rest of the vans on site :thumb: I was betting (with Ann )it would be around 130k ish but was not surprised when I found out it was 200k  There was also a large black windowed Hobby caravan (again stood out) but I have not looked how much that is worth ::bigsmile:as nice as that was it id not hold a candle to the Deffleffs ::bigsmile:
