We have read that you can overnight at the Ferry Terminal at Dunkirk but recently when we stayed at the Calais park near the beach our neighbour told us there is a now a campsite near the beach at Dunkirk. He said it was set up about a year ago by the Council but when he was there a year ago there were no services. We got the impression it was free when he was there but this might have changed. Does anyone know of this site and if it now has services? Costs?

We stayed at the ferry terminal 2 weeks ago very quite with no problems we used the showers/toilets in the ferry terminal. Just remember the the ferry terminal is just west of dunkirk not in the centre. Also to remember that if you take a late ferry from Dover as a lot of people do incl us ,any campsites will be shut.
