my RV has a GB in the registration plate

My LHD RV has the GB in the registration plate... that is all you need.

But if you are over 3.5 tons then you need to have a 90 on the near side back of the RV .. i.e you are limited to 55 mph... same as if you pull a trailer.

I don't agree. If you are UK registered you need a GB sign, if you conform to UK regulations, as a Motor Home over 3.5Tonne, you do not need to display a 90k sign.

If you are over 3.5 tonn and tow a trailer you still need an 80 and 90 sticker on the back of the trailer.

I found that the foreign trucks didn't hassle us when we had these fitted and the cars were just tucking in behind if the couldn't get past. A slow Hymer and a trailer don't rocket away anytime.

Having the 90 sticker says I am over 3.5 tonn so there is no excuse for going to or through places that have a 3.5 tonn restriction. Technically Aires are for Camping Cars under 3.5 tonns.
