I use an inverter but it does take quite a lot out of the battery so do it with solar panel on the leisure battery whilst static or off the vehicle battery when driving.

inverters take a lot out of a battery depending how much power is needed and for how long.

if your charger needs 200watts input to charge the battery it will take around 16amps out of your battery every hour the charger is on.

4 hours charging will flatten a 110ah battery and without hookup, solar panels or generator you have no way to recharge the battery..

Your electric bike

You could fit an efoy charger to your leisure battery it's a fuel cell that keeps charging your battery as you us it so thenn you bring a charging plug off your leisure battery will work no problem but the efoy fuel cells don't come cheap.hope this helps Dave Parkes.

Why not put a big Dynamo on your bike....

Instead of running the lights connect it so as to charge your battery,...

the faster you go the faster you will charge the bike....:winky:

that would work if the bike battery was a basic 12v job.

it could be 18v/24v/36v and cant be charged directly off 12v.

It could also be a 48v one :winky:::bigsmile:----- small inverter and charge while engine is running from A to B :thumb:
