From ferry, follow signs to motorway, turn left onto it to go towards BELGIUM. I think that's Jct 52. Come off at the next or next but one, or 2, fairly near anyway at the sign for 'CENTRE COMMERCIAL' - I think it's Jct 54b but don't quote me on that one - and go to Auchan filling station at the Centre Commercial. Take the road into the retail park then go round the island and come back on yourself as if to leave the park again, for access to the filling station.

Cheapest Diesel we've found around there. From thence, Europe is your small bivalve mollusc ......

We used to use the petrol station not far from Dunkerque at Grand Synthe, you can park up behind and stay overnight as well

Why do so many folk worry about filling up with fuel as soon as they get to France? - fill up in England, enjoy driving in France - there's plenty of cheap fuel/wine, cheap aires and good times to look forward to...........

Cos it's cheaper in France that's why. And of course many people have travelled a couple of 100 miles to get to the train/ferry in the first place. The petrol station in Dover isn't open late at night, the one on the M20 before the Chunnel is really expensive, it's all more €€ to spend on vin and brioche, innit?

I know it's cheaper in France but for the sake of a few quid I'd rather just get on my way and I'm 200 miles from Dover

I agree - used to have the "Cheaper fuel" frame of mind, then once my brain engaged and I realised I was saving all of £3 on a fill-up I found I relaxed more earlier on.....it's less than the price of a pint of beer in some gaffs these days!
Good luck anyway!
