Cos it's cheaper in France that's why. And of course many people have travelled a couple of 100 miles to get to the train/ferry in the first place. The petrol station in Dover isn't open late at night, the one on the M20 before the Chunnel is really expensive, it's all more €€ to spend on vin and brioche, innit?

I agree - used to have the "Cheaper fuel" frame of mind, then once my brain engaged and I realised I was saving all of £3 on a fill-up I found I relaxed more earlier on.....it's less than the price of a pint of beer in some gaffs these days!I know it's cheaper in France but for the sake of a few quid I'd rather just get on my way and I'm 200 miles from Dover
