Hi all,

We have recently tried our drive away awning, movelite xl on the van and
I'm a bit concerned about the tunnel area collection water.

If you have one, have you had any problems with rain collection on the tunnel area? and how to get around it?

Cheers

We used a Khyam Motordome Exselsior with our previous van. You can minimise the problem of rain collecting by stretching the tunnel as taught as possible but it isn't a 100% solution, especially in heavy rain. The only thing to do in those circumstances is to stand underneath the affected area with a brush (or equivalent) with which you can reach to push up the "bulge" and make the water pour down the side.

Had a MoveliteXL with the RV. If you fit an awning C rail high on the motorhome wall you should get a good fit with little chance of rain collecting ..

One question
did you get the one for a custom built motorhome or
one for the van conversion type motorhome

the van conversion type are not as high/big as the ones for the custom built motorhomes.
the smaller ones are around 250cm high and the big ones are 280cm high

Thanks for the replies,
Chatter, I got one for a van conversion.
Only stuck it up on the drive and not pegged fully, the van side of the tunnel (attached to wind-out) is higher so there is a slope from van to awning. Probably have to try and stretch it tighter as Graham said.
off for another little get away soon so will probably wing it and see::bigsmile:

Graham, I don't mind day time duties, sat in chair with glass of wine and broom:thumb: but not sure the better half would do nights::bigsmile:

Cheers
