Hi All,

We have got a Safari Room for our Hymer the problem is that the Carver Boiler exhaust/panel will be inside the room.

Is there anyway to reroute the exhaust?

The Safari Room is no where near an air tight structure. We have the water heater oulet going into ours. For the time it is working, I see no problem.

We had our Safari room up for 5 months in Spain 2010-2011 and we are still here.

If you are worried turn the heater off at night.

Fumes in Awnings

Meexi,

If it is to settle your mind, I would suggest a portable co alarm they are battery powered & usually have a 6/7 year life span.
Although the risk is small for co poisoning it is none the less a risk.
A feeling of nausea tightness across the forehead and a flushing of the cheeks are signs together, of slight poisioning. You just feel rubbish and would like to go to sleep - hence why it's called "The silent killer".

my RV is fitted with

My RV comes fitted as standard CO alarm hot wired so it cannot be turned off.. Smoke detector and also one that is on the ceiling to pick up fumes such as those dragged in from the generator being on (fumes via the roof vent).

If you do not have a detector... I suggest you buy one.. not expensive but may save your life.
