Hi all!
I'm wondering if someone can give me advise to remove a large damp stain? I have just bought my lovely Duetto and I'm told that previously one of the little top windows broke and water got in and left a water stain above the drivers cab. Ive tried using my steamer and it hasn't helped. I tried white vinegar mixed with water on a patch and this has done nothing. Unfortunately, the cloth is white and the stains look so obvious.
Any help would be great ....!

You could try, as it is/was originally white..

A drop of "Milton" steralizing fluid.... the same as used to clean baby`s bottles and the like..:thumb:

My misses uses it on tea towels when I have used them to wipe the oil dipstick.. :winky:

Thank you
I'll try this on a small corner.
But surely there must be a product made for removing damp stains?

The last damp stain I had was about 30 years ago as I recall, by coincidence Pans People were on top of the Pops at the time:Blush:

Can't remember ;)
Hi Caroline why not simply get some material and recover it all- use spray on adhesive :thumb:I recovered all roof lining and door panels to match the seats when I converted our van

Second time around.
When you've been on here for a while...

...you'll know better than to head a post 'Damp Stains', or anything similar.

PS, nice to see I'm not the only metal detector owner in the village.

Ever find anything?

.... not had much luck yet, but enjoy hearing the beep, beeps - my day will come! Just enjoy strolling around aimlessly, though new to this hobby. Have you found anything interesting yet?

By the way, the damp stain is still their! About to try the Milton next .....

Second time around.
Metal detecting.

Hi, my most valuable find was a large gold ring about 11 years ago, but I haven't had that much time recently, despite having retired early and thinking I would have more time. In fact in two weeks in Cornwall, Devon and Dorset, I didn't get the detector out at all, something I intend to rectify this time round.

Are you a member of a club, or do you detect alone?

By the way, two things which might be worth trying on your damp stain are Nappisan powder or Dygon, made by the same people as Dylon. In either case try a small area first with a damp toothbrush.

I look forward to your next unintentional innuendo:Smile:
