whilst in France I met a dutchman who had a satellite dish to provide his web connection. He said it cost him 50€ a month. now the fulltimers who travel abroad a lot and use Skype to keep in touch with family and business could possibly find this affordable. Far too much for my meagre pocket tighter even than a Dutchman or DA. but what about the rest of you? Do you think it affordable, do you use one. discuss please.

Maybe it does cost him 50 Euros per month............but how much was the original equipment. From what experience I have had with auto sat dishes I don't think I will be bothering.

Ah... €50 a month...

Well... If the connection was easy and quick to set up...

If the download and upload speeds were good...

Any if you were allowed unlimited data per month...

I would have signed up five minutes ago...

But...

This was posted with my Nokia smartphone connected to my own Wagon hotspot connected to the Studio's wi-fi internet brought to my own laptop through a usb-Yagi wi-fi amplifying antenna courtesy of Connectifyme....

all the above seemed ok when he demonstrated it but am sure you must have looked into it at some stage.
something like this Roger......only £1000 for the (USED) receiver only and no guarantee of battery quality.
