does not seem overly expensive

It does not seem overly expensive compared to the Honda... down side is the limited full warranty with 12 months part and labour and the next 12 months parts only... Honda more expensive but comes with 5 years.

I noted it has a motor home type socket not a normal mains 13 amp socket.. so you could end up having to make a pig tail if you wanted to use it outside of the motorhome area.

I have a Hyundai car (9 years) goes on and on... but the gear box failed (auto) and expensive to replace... so are the parts on this also expensive?

Often heard on here, always a Honda dealer in every town.. or seems there is.. but do you see Hyundai ?

But give you it is cheap ..

I am sure it has a 3 pin connection, he has a motor home style socket on a pig tail extension that comes with it. It has a cover that comes down over the 3 pin outlet on a hinge.

Thanks Steve,

Just looked on the Honda website, the 5 year warranty is subject to an annual service.

I bought the 3000kw one a couple of seasons ago. My thinking was that Hyundai / Kia cars have come to be good and reliable so why not their generators.
And, all good so far, and that's powering a 5th wheeler with all its fancy american gadgets.

I have had the Hyundai 3000 pure sine wave version for three years,
I can do no more than highly recommend, as has never let us down or
required any repairs, would certainly purchase same again.
regards
