Has anyone got any recommendations for site near London reasonably close to rail access which we could use as a base to spend a couple of days in London, travelling in each day?

Hi, I have been to Abbey Wood near greenwich its a c.c.site its very handy for central london can recommend as ive been there a few times, beautiful site but very popular with tourists so can be a job booking worth a look on the c.c. site:thumb:
Deffinately Abbey Wood Site Train links supurb 5 mins walk £7.50 for a daily travel card train bus and underground great. and staff very helpful site and facilities very clean and showers lovely and warm
visited for this years London Marathon weekend.:thumb::thumb:

Well it was to see the MarathonYou obviously walk quicker than me.

sadly not, the LEZ also applies to motorhomes and horseboxes too. its cost ordinary Londoners millions and unenlightened visitors £200 a day[/QU
i have petrol van dont think that maters to much but dont like london so wont be gowing cheers
