The pictures don't come close to covering it. It's not too bad round here but some of those ruts are full of water and 6-10 inches deep.... When you stand on an area where there isn't a rut you sink in 4 inches with a nasty squelching sound.... Kids would love it as it can sound quite rude sometimes :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the photos Gromett. Careful you don't get escorted of site, I heard the marshals discussing someone taking photos who they thought was from the Sun. They had been told to escort him off site.

Now that we have survived the weekend and have been awarded the battle honour "Peterborough Mudfest 2012", can we officially remove the red dots from our funster badges?

Peterborough show

We have just returned from the show as day visitors, free entry as a goodwill gesture, result.
We were a bit annoyed at first to see a lot of the traders packing up, this was well before lunchtime, but then I thought , how sad it was that the weather spoiled everything for everybody, I ended up feeling very sorry for the dealers and traders who had spent all that time and money setting up the show, all for nothing, well Sunday anyway, maybe it wasn't too bad the other days. I hope it will be basking sunshine next year,!!

That looks awful.

I am sorry the weather spoiled the show for everyone.

I should think the traders are less than chuffed as well:Sad:

The sun has come out and it is draining pretty well. Doubt it will be drivable but at least the ruts won't be hidden at the bottom of a puddle ::bigsmile:

This shows how wet the ground was, with some needing a tow on

wettraders.jpg

The traders area was decimated by the wind and rain, quite a few vans were damaged with falling flags and flying tent debris

wet-stall-holder.jpg

These guys were well and truly wet, but still in good humour

our-stall.jpg

The pool of water outsdide our trade tent early this morning. We didn't open.

Must do a big shout out to Bob and Jane who did a fantastic job, out there in the wet and the wind for two days straight doing their best to get people in without the use of a tractor, you guys were brilliant. :thumb: Also to those that assisted the marshalling, Graham and Jll, Tony and Jackie and GozoMike and many other that helped put tents up and take them down in appalling conditions:thumb: Many Many thanks, a great job.

I hope you guys still there get off OK and remember, JJ is offering big bucks for pictures of yank boxes, stuck in the mud, especially winebogo's driven by one legged funsters:Smile:

Hi, (Newbie been lurking a while!)
I was tempted to go but looking at the pics pleased I didn't now. I went to my local dealer Thursday to look at a MH I fancied upgrading to as finding the one bought in Oct a tad too small, was told it was already at the Show, looking on their website seems it's gone over the weekend (or sunk and lost in the 3rd Ypres re enactment mud :Eeek:). Hope you all got back safe that went.

Regards
