My parents live on Anglesey and every so often they (my dad) messes something up on his PC.

Is there and easy way that I can install something on his PC that will allow me to assist him remotely?

It would have to be something very simple, not too complex as he is 85 and suffers from Macular Degeneration and stubborness.

Most modern PC's come with remote access abilities built in.

You will need his router id though and password, then you can log into his PC remotely. You should find it in desktop>accessories>remote desktop connection.:thumb:

We use Log Me In (the Free Version) - Install it on both PC's and you can access the PC from anywhere. (We also use Log Me In Rescue but that is paid for and requires the other person to log onto a website/enter 6 digit code/download an applet)
I look after several PC's/Phone systems this way.

You want idiot proof?

TeamViewer and LogMeInFree are both good and both get around firewall restrictions.

I use the former in my business.
