I just heard there is a countrywide strike in Spain on Thursday. This is the day were sailing. Anyone know if the ports will be out too?

hi jim dont know about that. but my neighbour is on the santander ship. look out for a big white MAN truckcamper . he was with dave and john in maroc . say hello that will suprise him .

Bound to be some disruption I guess but I hope it isn't too bad.

General strike in Spain 29th March 2012

Information currently available suggests that there will be no disruption to driver accompanied traffic arriving in or departing Santander on Thursday 29th March. Regrettably, the strike action will mean that Brittany Ferries will not be able to accept unaccompanied items for shipment on the Portsmouth/Santander sailing on 28th March or on the Santander/Plymouth sailing on 29th March 2012.

If so just spotted it on my ship finder app heading South at 25 kts just off the coast of Isle of Wight. ETA Santander 10am tommorow:thumb:

Me and old mo are on the Pont Aven tomorrow. We are presently near Salamanca. We were going to leave here about now but it's too nice to travel so were off into town again and will make a dash for the port tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the info, at least being in Benidorm now we can take MH to hospital and hope the staff are working.
