With NFU mine was covered at no extra cost, but it was only third party ... so you also need to check with the towed vehicle's insurer if it is covered comprehensively while 'on tow'

Easiest way is to have both insured by the same company .. so in the event of a claim they can then fight themselves ..

Best advice is to ask your current insurers of both vehicles..

Second time around.
That's interesting.

I've been with the NFU for years, but thought it might be cheaper to look elsewhere for MH insurance. Is all your insurance with them?

as Jim said NFU give you automatic trailer cover for third party but they also cover accidental trailer damage FREE OF CHARGE up to £1000 PROVIDING ITS HITCHED AT THE TIME

in other words.....you reverse into a wall and damage it they will pay for repairs.

yes..

It was, but RV now sold, as is toad but still use NFU for my current car

it's oft said you don't know how good an insurer is until you have a claim....

NFU were great when I had the RTA in France .. hence my loyalty ..

We have both our motorhome and the toad (on A-frame) insured with the NFU on the same policy.

This means that in the event of an accident there is only one insurer involved on my side which should make claiming much simpler.
