Burner not working (1 Viewer)

Hi, I just bought a 1989 VWT25 campervan. The built in gas hob has 2 burners one of which does not work. When I turn knob no gas comes out at all. I don't really want to replace it cos it may be difficult to get one that fits the hole in kitchen unit that it is housed in. It seems to be easily removed from unit. Is there anything obvious I should look for ? Is there somewhere I could maybe mail the cooker unit to be overhauled? Any help gratefully received

Failed thermo coupling if individual to each burner, an easy fix for any local caravan shop,or gas fitter/plumber, no need to take out and send anywhere

Hey thanks Geo,
Stripped down burner into individual parts and discovered tiny jet blocked with soot . Cleaned it all out , put back together and hey presto got 2 working gas burners. I owe you a pint
