It`s on the end of a piece of coiled up cable on the roof of my MH. The cable is secured to the roof bars with cable ties.

Thanks

Steve

Hi,
If no-one can identify it, perhaps you could contact the previous owner shown on the V5 and ask them. Where does it lead to on the other end?

Looks a bit like the dish end of a cable for an Oyster system. where does the other end go?

Pretty sure it goes into that steel looking plate you can see in the pic, seems to run along the inside cuboards and down into where the electrics are, but not sure.

Funy you mention the V5, it arrived yesterday and there is no longer a `previous keeper` section. is that a new thing?

I think Dave Newell has it in one. I had my Oyster in pieces last year adding a second feed for the Sky+ box and that is all very familiar. That multi connector is the feed which includes the GPS and attaches to the works under the roof dish and into the control box which was behind the fridge in mine and accessed from outside through the vents.

And no, there isn't a previous keeper on the new V5, only a mention of number of previous on the bottom of the front page?

It is a standard multiway connector, are there any mounting holes where a dish has been removed?
As to the previous keeper. No details of previous keeper appear on the new red logbook, just checked.

Well that's pretty unhelpful - why have they done that?

Data protection act possibly, but more likely so they can charge you for the info that was previously free:Eeek:

Sorry, just looked again, previous keeper is on V5 on front page.

Think I will drop them a letter with SAE about this and also to ask a general question re vehicle. May not reply but you never just know.

did it for a car few years back rules may have changed http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/DG_10016794

We've recently changed both car and van and have received new, red, V5 documents. Both show the name & address of the previous registered keeper (plus when they acquired the vehicle) and the number of former keepers.

Just the same as on the old, blue, forms in fact.

It is indeed the control plug for a sat system.. Saw one in germany mounted on two bars across the roof rack last year.. hence no holes :thumb:
