I notice the eBay listing has a map showing hot bird and Astra satellite footprints. I suspect the astra mentioned is 19 east and NOT the 28 degrees we commonly receive from in UK.
So Before anyone runs off an orders one, check it will do 28..!!

Hi All,

Received a very prompt reply,

Dear friend
this is a project that is now really mature and have a lot of
customers expecially in Italy where it's born
They have been sold around
1000 pcs in the last 2-3 years so I believe it's been rellay well tested.
All my customers are END user and they are in Italy and France but I don't
have any feedback I can forward you expect for the comments you see all
around the newsgroup that you easily can find with google search.
My site
for your reference is s2cplanet.com where the price is obviously less
expensive.
If you send me your email I can email you the manual so you can
read the characteristics of the system

If you any further questions let
me know

Sandro

Web site is not quite correct, http://www.s2cplanet.com/ is what is required

Unfortunately other business calls but as I am sure you will I shall explore tomorrow

Hello and yes we have one. It's probably not at fast as searching as the big boys, but for a small dish when it locks on the picture is great.
It is pre-loaded with Astra 1, Astra 2, Eurobird, Hotbird and another couple I've never heard of, you just select the one you want and power it up, sometimes it locks onto the satellite within 30secs other times it might take as long as 3-4mins, so idea why and doesn't seem to matter what the weather is like!
All in all for the price and light weight it does what we want and takes up very little room on the roof, however if installing it permanently on the roof make sure there is enough room all around as it sometimes sweeps around at almost 180 degrees open, before it gradually raises up and locks on. Hope this helps:thumb:

Have to say it looks a bit flimsy and when in the closed, (lowered) position looks like wind buffeting and wind getting under the dish, both on the move, and stationary could take it's toll over time..
