Yes we are tired of hosting New Year's Eve at home. Can anyone recommend a good site in the South for touring motorhomer's? We don't mind children but in moderation if you know what I mean!!

Oxford's nice

The C&CC site in Oxford is very well placed, next to a 'Go Outdoors' shop and the Park & Ride bus stop. Depends what you want to do, but from there you can walk into town on the Thames towpath, 1 mile or so... Walk the other way, to Iffley and you will find the best Norman church in the country and several friendly hostelries.

Laneside & his wife spent Christmas at Moreton-in-the-Marsh (Cotswolds) and said it was very good, with over 100 vans there...

Best regards

Catherine

New Year

Thanks Catherine. We have been to the Oxford site which is as you say very pleasant. We were thinking of a site with all in entertainment.

There's Sandy Balls in the New Forest.

They have an indoor pool, and entertainment for the kids.

They also have a pub and a ( crap) restaurant.

Nice pub just outside the entrance though serving good food and a good few ales.

We spent Xmas in one of their lodges a few years back. Quite a few vans were there though. Not particularly cheap though.
