we just had a really good quote £100 less than last year with and it is from Saga

Hi i went with comfort this year and they are very competitive,and i bought a good european breakdown cover of them aswell. After a month i upgraded my van and there was no increase in premium only a standard £15 charge for change of policy. And the english speaking girl sounded a real sweetheart too. Good Luck:thumb:

Go down and ask the guy on the middle row with the Bel Air! He is with them and if you remember he had no end of problems last year and they came up trumps!

We're with them too and pay less than £600 and ours is an A class! ( silly price windscreen and it's 100% covered!)

What you need is a maximum no claims discount I.E. 70%. if you have not got that its going to cost.

We're now with (I think) Aviva (what used to be NU) via Frank Pickles, who are brokers - and who are ace. They were about £150 cheaper than whoever we were originally with, I know the cover was RSA but not sure who the broker was, possibly Safeguard?

I left SAGA as they had no loyalty for long time clients, just keeps going up. went to Caravan Gaurd, Real good price.
The problem with all insurance companies is that they do not reward loyalty, would rather give discounts to attract new customers.

My Son in law was with LV when he first bought his van. He had a run in with a Bus and lost his door mirror. Three different Garages turned up and left saying" too big", LV not set up for Mobile Homes.

i also insure via comfort ,my policy is underwritten by aviva,
even though we had a claim year before, due to a breakin in spain
our premium remained within a few pound on renewal.
claim was dealt with very well.
currently paying around £400 fully comp 2 drivers ,including breakdown cover in europe.

Hi,i'm with Motor caravanwise,caravanwise ltd...tel 0142 5280078..They are brokers and my policy is with Zurich..Fully comp myself (64) and spouse,inc extended EU cover,drawback i have to pay first £350.00 of any claim,upside i had no no claims on joining and the cost is £200.71p ,i think they have a 4000cc max limitoh:.

We just renewed through the Caravan Club with AVIVA....

Last year they beat the best quote I could find by £25. I believe they may still offer this.

I though it would go up a lot this year. We are in a high postcode area, I am still under 50 ,and I have 6 points (don't ask) :Blush:,and only 2 years NCD on the M/H.....

It actually went up by £40 but still under £270.... Fully Comp, £200 excess, £75 windscreen excess, 90 days at at a time Euro cover.

Other quotes I got this year were way in excess of this.

Many thanks to all that have replied, I phoned my exsisting company LV and told them to cancel my insurance as I have found a company that would insure our van for a lot less, (Safegaurd,) LV then told me they would sort out a better premium, by a £100 less, I thought robbing barstewards, they would have kept that quite had I just carried on and paid them. Told them basicaly to get stuffed.

As mentioned Ray, I am with Saga, fully comp, legal cover, 100% windscreen cover etc etc .. £165 this year.. Though as Don says, they do creep up the price every year.
If it goes up again I may well look elsewhere.
I have the buggy with Adrian Flux.. That is £82.00 a year for two drivers
