can any one recommend a breathalyzer kit as i believe i need to put one in the van for when we go to France

It is not yet on the Statute Books Yosser and visitors are on their honor not to drink AT ALL, not just when driving so stay at home and get Pissed old mate.......Griff:roflmto:

If it does become law I dare say they'll sell them on the ferries.

You can buy online & I've been told they're a couple of euros each at any Halfords-type store in France.

Definitive answer by Frankie if I remember correctly. I think it involved her playing Mata Hari with a team of Police rugby players to get insider information.

For the total abstainers amongst us (Few I know) does that mean we have to by a breath testing kit so I can prove I have not been drinking.

Not for me, you want to arrest me for suspicion of having a drink go ahead, I still believe innocent until proven guilty (Unless this has changed under EU law)
One of the most difficult things to prove is a negative.

I suspect you may need two.

If you are stopped by the old Bill and use the kit, then you could be charged with not having a kit!

The same thing in the old days, we (at work) had two 1st aid kits, one we used and the other was simply to comply with the law and was never used..
