Whitby Hard Standing Site Wanted Nov 2012 (1 Viewer)

As we really enjoyed organising Whitby Goth meet last November we are wanting to arrange another Whitby Goth Weekend for Nov bonfire weekend (think it is 2nd to 4th) and are on the lookout for a suitable site which has hardstanding for about 25 motorhomes, water tap and elsan point, club room/shelter would be a bonus as well.

If anyone lives in the Whitby area that may know of anywhere suitable please let us know and we can contact the owner, as you know we used broadings farm last year and although was a bit muddy last year no one got stuck and Cheyne got us all on site no problem, but farm owner does not want his field churning up!! so is not accepting us this year.

We will be going to the Spring Goth meet so will be hoping to sort some site's out in april.

You will have to contact the council in Scarborough who look after the car parks in Whitby.

No where to fill up or empty - Unless it has changed you could pay about a fiver for over night stay

It could be worth asking at beacon farm? only a C&CC CERT SITE but they may be able to hold a rally type thing-hardr standing at the top for (at a squash) about ten and plenty of room on field with about 20 or so hook ups -about five mins drive out of whitby -nice home made Ice cream and choccy cake

The Motor Caravan Section of the C&CC sometimes use West Cliffe Primary School, YO21 3EG for weekend meets and Whitby, Community College, YO2 1LA as a temporary holiday site.

I've just Googled term dates and it looks like the half term holiday covers that weekend so it might be worth contacting one or other of them.

Whitby community college doent have hard standing, and the school has already been contacted by weekenders but one of the parents books this for goth weekend. :Sad:

Can I just add a note of thanks for going to all of this work to arrange a meet for us all.

Invite the council up to the spring meet and show them what a nice group of people we can be rather than what they report in the press.
