I am stuck in the same place for a few months now and am looking at getting a 47KG gas bottle to save me having to keep moving (in case of snow etc)

I can drill a hole in the back door and just loop a long gaslow stainless steel pipe out to the gas bottle but would rather have a connector on the back of the van if possible.

Has anyone done anything like this and if so what did you use?

Gas is not fussy which way round it goes so why not use an external BBQ fitting. I have one on the camper and that works fine.

Try Hamilton Gas Products,

Top piece of kit. Comes with plug connector.

Of course if back feeding and someone knocks the plug, out it comes spewing out gas.

best to use automatic shut off valves if having a bottle outside . google BES they do them quite cheap. also good for pipe work and hoses . very competitive prices.

Thanks to both of you but neither product gives any details of what it is and what it does  I am not prepared to order them blind...

Thanks for trying though
