I use a very good vet in Amiens myself.. but all the more recommendations that we have helps the dog owner.

Would map of Vets around the continental ports that we could recommend/review be a good idea?

YES, YES, and YES

Would map of Vets around the continental ports that we could recommend/review be a good idea?

Yes Jim a good idea.. I know over a fair time I have had to give members details of the vet we use in Amiens and I think members would welcome a map and details of vets..

Very good idea.

Thanks. Is there parking or an Aire withing walking distance of the vet?

Yes Jim a map showing the vets in France and Spain together with parking details would be fantastic

.

Jim, I think that would be a very good idea, particularly if we can work out the co-ordinates for our satnavs.

To go further, with the increase of the treatment window from 24 - 48 hours to 1 day to 5 days may be we can get pet owners to recommend much further afield, even with the old system I used a vet once in Boulou near the Spanish border (pre MH days).

I think that this would be a fantastic idea as I am sitting here trying to locate a vet around the Calais area who charges reasonable rates and is highly recommended. Usually use Bob's vet in Amiens but not going that far afield this time.

Hi, we spoke to someone on the site here in Javea, and she has 3 really small dogs and they want 50€ each at the local vets, we use the vets in France, last time we paid 25€ and the vets we will probably use on the way home is 29€ supplying our own worming tablet.:ROFLMAO:
the vets is at Broglie, and a nice aire in the town. :thumb: Bob and Jane.

We went to one in the town square of Orchies (coming back from Belgium). He was very good and very reasonable too. I will look up his name if anyone wants to know - it's in the van. ::bigsmile:

Now that we have the 5 day window, I'm hoping to find a vet much deeper into the country.

Not forgotten about this project, just snowed under. I will set up an area to list all foreign ports vets so that we can review them. I have a list of vets to start with.

If anyone wants to help plot them on the map I'd appreciate it.

Just returned to the UK after spending 4 weeks at La Torretta, Benidorm. Took
the dog to the local vet (between La Torretta and El Raco campsites) provided own worming tablets (milbimax) cost 30 euros.
Certainly cut out the hassle of finding a vet near Calais.
