Hi all, I am a newbie and I am thinking of buying a 2005 Hymer BC655 with a Fiat 15 2.8 JTD EGR Automatic any advice or information will be appreciated [ie payload and fuel consumption] .

its a personal thing I would only have the hymer on a Mercedes base the other base units just do not live up to the merc
I have had three merc motorhomes be for i got the RV my advise
look for a good RV much more comfort in them than the euro motorhomes
they are set on to lower powered chassis for me

We have a 634 which is slightly shorter than the 655 (from what I can see on e-bay). Fuel consumption - we get 28mpg from the 2.8 Manual Gearbox . As for Payload ours is on the 3900kg Alko Chassis and, according to the plated weight we have about 500kg (plenty for the two of us). This remonds me - I need to check our weights at a weighbridge soon.
So I would check the chassis/weights for payload.
