Satellite signal alignment kit (1 Viewer)

I just bought a cheap SATELLITE SIGNAL ALIGNMENT KIT from ebay and a plastic compass came with it but the strange thing is I know the approximately direction of south etc from my home location but the compass say east is west and south is north .
Am I missing something or is it a case of you get what you pay for oh: because thats something I have always belived.

Hi John,
On mine the NSEW marked dial rotates so that you line the N up with the magnetic pointer, this should help you to point the dish in the correct direction for the satellite.

You must have the antipodean model.......no problem realy but you will have to go to Oz to use it

the wrong end of the magnetic pointer has been painted.oh:

just remember to point the unpainted end to north....problem solved.

or you could buy another compass for a couple of quid
