We are kean bridge players and I was wondering if there are any groups (or couples) who meet up to play. We can't be the only bridge-playing motorhomers.

I don't play myself, but i have been told that Bridge is very much like sex, if you dont have a good partner, you certainly need a good hand!

 I suppose I asked for the replies so far, but do we have any bridge players? By the way the puns are much better if you play poker.

I'm keen to learn bridge - it's the only card game I've found that appeals to me. I started learning when I was staying with a friend who played. Since then I've relapsed as it's kind of difficult to learn entirely from a book or computer program, and my nomadic existence doesn't lend itself to taking regular bridge classes.

But then Maz, you need to find another 3 people who can also play LOL

We like Cribbage but crib players seem to be as rare as hens teeth these days.

As you can see Philip, these are a load of plebs. Behave people, you have been asked a serious question. As it happens, I can't play bridge but I'd love to. ::bigsmile:

Some of them used to play bridge in the canteen at lunchtime where I worked. From what I could observe, it was much like contract whist, where you had to state how many tricks you and your partner would win.

But I believe there are other variations on the game.

correct it is le Pont de Normandie, first time we saw/crossed it, i had kittens thinking was i going to get up it or wasnt I, caused by the fact that the toll station is in between both the bridges pictured so only had a couple of hundred yards before starting to climb up the bridge after stopping to pay the toll

My fave bridge that! Coming from Le Havre side, thought the one over the canal was big enough, then you see the wall !!!

And the toll booth used to be Honfleur end - have they moved it?

Errr, and funnily enough, we're based at home very near to Jct 3 of the M6, but don't do weekends, as that's Pete's working week!

I wouldnt know, but its been in the middle on the 'island' between the two rivers or river and canal the last 4 years or so that we have used it. Its definitely not on the Hornfleur side though, as stated couldnt believe it has such a short run to get up speed before the climb from the toll booth.
Thinking on there is also a toll booth on the hornfleur side where you change from one motorway to another but that is a few miles away from the bridge as you come onto the motorway to take you over the bridge
