I had a look at discover (York) as i passed today.....

the flags still flying at full mast but not the display area.

3 coachbuilts and a PVC are all thats left

the sales office, which was a 'park home', has been dismantled and removed

we never used them but bought a motorhome and a caravan from their predecessors, Barrons, and their sales staff were first class both pre and post sale, unlike their spares/accessory department, who couldn't order a takeaway and get it right :Angry:,

i live 5 mins from them, as you say the service/parts dept were a joke.... a not very funny joke unfortunately

Im still waiting for a roof vent fly screen ordered for my first Van (missing when we bought it)......that was 7 years ago oh:

a couple of years ago they told me knaus had gone bust, and getting me a new garage door handle would be impossible,after some "negotiation" they said they would send off to Germany but it would take months, I rang Lowdhams in Huddersfield and they said "we've got loads in stock and we'll have it to you by tomorrow"
priceless !!!

Big sell off of everything at all Discover Leisure depots on Saturday 12th and Sunday.

Advertised as everything half price.

Well the stock is still changing......passing by today there was 4 caravans, one coachbuilt and one PVC.

maybe moving stock to more profitable locations ?
