This has never worked properly for me. Sometimes it does but more often it takes me to the start of a thread. I have got rid of "Fun", dumped my cache and removed cookies then reloaded "Fun".

Is it just me?

on mine when you press that button it takes you to the start of the posts in that thread that you havent read , so therefore if you have read none it takes you to the start and if you have read some it takes you to the post you have read up to so you can continue

To be fair a minor irritation Jim. As it is the same on 2 laptops and a netbook I wouldn't think it is our pooters?

I am 'us' ken, I am using the site exactly as you are but from a crappy Welsh connection that is extremely slow.

What browser are you using?

BTW my 3 connection has always been very fast. Fun today is painfully slow, first time I have had this. All other sites seem as normal.

It's working fine for me, taking me to the last unread post of the thread. Also running Firefox on Windows 7!

just tried using FF on W7 it works for me, the site tracks what you have read and stores it in a cookie on your system. If you are always taken to the first post of a thread its clear that your system is not storing the data. That might be a setting on your system. Does the site remember you or do you have to sign in each visit. If it remembers you then that proves that cookies are being stored, but why your system is not remembering where you have been and what you have read is a mystery to me. Might be due to security system you have on board.

Yes it remembers me Jim. I run Microsoft Security Essentials as I found AVG was bloated and slowing things down. I will keep looking, as I say a minor irritation. :thumb:

Works on my desk-top running Chrome on XP, also works on my Lappy running chrome on win7. Don't have any suggestions, although it must be slightly frustrating.

Worth investigating ken, it will save you a lot of scrolling, and at your age you don't want to be wasting any time :roflmto:

FWIW I get this sporadically - but only if I go back to a thread I have already read a very short time ago in the same session. Most frustrating when it's a thread where one is 'actively participating' (aka trading insults) with other members, so speed is of the essence!

Works fine for me.

The problem might be something to do with settings that affect cookies. My cookie setting - with ie9 - is medium.
