Heading North for the weekend. Is this site ok? Have you been there or is there a better site nearby? Motorhome newbies but intend to go straight through the winter months. ( not really much change from summer to winter in Scotland other than the temperature of the rain ) Only joking. I have seen the sun here......

Here on the East coast of Scotland we have some beautiful beaches. And you can swim from them. Go a mile offshore though and the HSE insist you have a survival suit???????

not meaning to to be disrespectful to the offshore bears. They do a marvelous job.

Good CC site. All pitches hardstanding with electric. TV good - most pitches are direct line of sight with Durris TV transmitter. Newish Tesco a few hundred yards away; Morrisons a bit further from site but nearer to town. Riverside walks into the attractive town one way and to Crathes Castle (National Trust for Scotland) the other way. Friendly wardens. CC web site currently (late pm 25/10) showing good availability for the coming weekend. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Have you tried Sauchope Links at Crail, beautiful site, lovely views across to the Isle of May, beach is not so much sand as rocks, but great site.
You would need to check when it closes for the winter though, it may close at the end of this month:Smile:
Gorgeous beaches around St. Andrews:thumb: and at least you'll be quieter at this time of year.
