Gas bottle cupboard (1 Viewer)

Every company that is owned by Hymer seems to have a standard of 2x11kg gas bottles. Our new Pilote will take, easily, two 13kg bottles. I use a Gaslow system so its only partly useful to me, but is this a new direction or is it French only?

Our FFB has 2 13kg bottles and room in there for hookup cable,tyre compressor,bottle jack,and small tool box.

Our Euro van (Homecar) made in Belgium, came with just one 6 kg bottle in the gas locker.

The 6 kg replacement bottles are £16.95 from our local retailer, the 13kg are £18,95...
Work that out... an extra £2 for 7 litres...

So we now have 2 x 13 kg bottles in the locker which fit perfectly (as if that's what it was made for), and it actually gives us a very workable range of several weeks if not months.:thumb:

We should have 2 x 13's in our Rapido but the muppets who fitted the BBQ point on behalf of the original owner, ran the connection from within the gas locker constraining one space. Thus now we can only fit 1 x 13 and 1 x 6.:Angry:

I agree with that & 13Kg are around £24-£25
