thought at first it was a typo, but reading further the optional 3 year warranty is nearly £225. :ROFLMAO:

Wouldn't touch those warranties with a barge pole John. You get 2 years under EU regs anyway.

In saying that I have had an LG Monitor and also a 32" LCD TV for the MIL and they were superb. :thumb:

Just got a 19" with DVD and 12 volt for £100 from evilbay dealer and am well pleased with it. He had 10 at that price then more at £120.
Had to get a 12 volt lead from Maplins though.

Apologies John didn't open your link i thought it was the warranty you were meaning. So I will take my feet out. Though what I was stirring up is beyond me.

new ultra thin technology ... soon be down in price

Quite right Jim, LED prices are tumbling already...

Argos is possibly the worst place to buy these type of electronic goods.
Their catalogues are printed some time in advance. The Market changes so fast that Argos are either out of date or overpriced for what is now "old hat".

As can be seen from previous threads 12 v LED TV can be bought already for a couple of hundred quid so no need to buy an expensive warranty ( which pays huge commission to the store) and which will invariably be useless, when you can just buy a new tv for the same cost as the warranty. :thumb:
