Hi
Does anyone have any good ways of keeping the door open on a Hobby 750? As it is not flat it can't go back to the main body and rest in a clip like a caravan door. Nearly lost the door a couple of times today in this high wind!

I dont know whats stopping you shape of body or ram at the top
If its shape, take a lookat an American RV the door stay keeps the door about 3to4 inches away from the bodywork
I'll try and find a link to one or a pic
If its the ram thas preventing you concider removing it altogether

On our old 650 with the curvy door we used an 'eddington flux' door stop - cute little curvy plastic wedge very cheap on amazon!:thumb:

Errrmmmm yes!

If you look under the door step you'll see a thin bit of metal. This unclips and attaches to the bottom of the door to keep it open.

I know it's an old post and old an old 'van but I'm a new poster with an old 'van so I hope someone finds it useful.

Hi this is a question for motorhome-dude, I note you speak of keeping a Hobby 750 hab door open, and because of the shape of mh it’s tricky. I’ve looked on our 2007 Hobby classic 600fm door step but can’t find the thin piece of metal of which you speak. ☹️ Is it just the different model issue, if so do you have any ideas regarding keeping the door open. Nearly lost our kitchen window a couple of times ?

I'll film a very quick video this afternoon showing where the piece of metal is, how it unclips then attaches to the door and post it on YouTube.
It's really easy to miss it or think it's something to do with the bottom sills. It's only when you see how it unclips do you get that "aaahhhhh! So that's what it is" moment :)

It could be different on your van but I'm guessing it will be something similar.

I'll let you know when it goes up :)

Just got home and we've got a video going up this evening I need to sort as well but we're just about to film your video.

You'll get a mention for this one :)

Thanks Dave, unfortunately we don’t have this hook, nor the eye so I guess it’s back to plan B fit and extending latch onto the door ☹️. Thanks anyway. I love watching your videos, they are so easy to follow. Watched the chipped windscreen repair the other day, like you not 100% sure about the kits for it.

Gail ?

I have a 2007 and have this set up for the door. I bought the eyes from a boat chandler and got a local fabricator to make the stainless steel stay.
