we had a look at another MH today, it was being offered for sale at a car dealers, who on their own admission, know little about MH's.
We looked at it seriously, if i list the things we noticed, perhaps you can give us YOUR OPINION.
1) some damp near the step
2) some inside the unit under the seat behind the drivers seat.
3) above the damp area, are curtains and tie backs on top of the seat back cushion..but no window!
4) the floor covering, the cupboards, hinges etc all LOOK new, and there are some small holes where we THINK originals may have been. (5 yr old motor)
5) the paintwork on the outside has VERY few blemishes.....too few we think!
6) There is No awning, no bike rack, no ladder, no roof rack. no towbar
7) the bathroom, is as we would have thought on a mh of this age, not good, but not bad, showing use...cracked toilet seat etc.
The dealer has offered to do the cambelt etc, also the gas check, and i told him i would want a habitation check and the result would form part of the warranty, which he agreed. I told him i would be seeking advice from here, and that there were some pretty knowledgeable people on here as well as dealers.
I also told him that there appeared to be something not right about the interior, it looked too new, and at odds with the toilet, I also explained that possibly the motor had sustained some accident damage, and a major repair had taken place....not a problem, as long as it was done properly by the right people................looking at so many MH's may be sending me doolalley, but what do YOU reckon.?
