When I leave UK I change my Sat Nav to display distances in Kilometres-what do you do ?

My rational is that I want to see distances displayed in the same Units as being used on road signs in the country I am in

That's exactly what I do :thumb: Just makes the distance & speed signs easier to understand

I just leave mine as it is

I changed mine to kilometers -----------it was ever so nice to see them disappear so much faster than I have ever been used to seeing the miles roll away.

I too change to Kilometers good for keeping an eye on your speed and as Alan says they go past quicker.

I can only think in kms now so I have to do the reverse--change mine to miles when I'm in UK as Town X 25 miles means nothing to me and it's easier to match sat nav and road signs.

Hmm it just i know my driving distance capabilities in a day.

imperial and metric always confuses me.

Plus litres and gallons.

Seems I am in the minority on sat navs though:Blush::Blush::Blush:

Mines in kliks all the time UK and Europe,have always worked in kilometers so speed distance etc, is always thought of in them. Also am a litre man too.
800 kms = a days work.

hmm.. S Africa had gone totally metric by 1973 .. the year I emigrated...

The UK is still fannying about and discussing after how many years ... 40 ? oh:

Speedo reading well worth it.

Suppose at present can switch the Volvo over but for other vehicles a very valid and useful device and setting:thumb:
