Hi all,

Due to the demise of our trusted TomTom 720, we are looking for a replacement unit.

We are after a TomTom 720/730 or a 920/930, as these are the only units that will accept our 4Gb SD card with the European Truck maps, (according to TomTom and Total PDA).

If anyone has one of these units surplus to requirements, but in good working order, please get in touch via a PM.
We have tried the usual suppliers of new and refurbished units, but to no avail, hence the request to fellow Funsters.

Thanks in advance,

Jock & Rita.

Thanks Jim,

Yes, that is one of the models that will take a 4Gb SD card.

I tried Amazon UK a few times yesterday, but failed. Probably because I typed in "Refurbished TomTom" followed by the various model numbers, of which none showed up.

Still looking.

Cheers,

Jock.

Hi all,

All sorted now, with the arrival of a TT 720T this morning, from a fellow Motorhomer.

Many thanks though to JJ for his very kind offer, via PM. He's a gent................and there aren't many of us left. :thumb: :winky:

Right, off now to sort out map updates and pop on our POIs, etc.

Thanks again for the responses,

Jock.

P.S. According to the dealers I contacted, TT models ending in 20 and 30, are as rare to find these days, as rocking horse manure is. They are very popular models apparently, due to the ability of being able to upgrade maps onto the SD card.

Hi guys,

Having taken a minute for the penny to drop , I can tell you that daren't pull in any more that my 9.5 amps at best, otherwise it'll blow the 10 amp regulator. :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, you two are cheating. What are you pulling at best here in the UK? That's the real test. :roflmto:
Back on topic, have either of you chaps downloaded http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bordatlas.de%2Foverlays.php for your Garmin?

Cheers for now,

Jock.
