Have you noticed the effect the riots are having on the sterling/euo exchange rate? Just when it was getting better, too !

You're not up to date Douglas.

The exchange rate as at two minutes ago was 0.885 and heading North.

On July 7th it had reached a peak of 0.90.

Since that dated it was steadily heading South until August 5th it reached 0.865 when it did a U turn and rapidly headed North ... and is still doing so

But the chart has a very small range, the whole difference and the chart is 0.006 of a penny.

Not a lot.

Doug...

It's the trend you should be looking at ...

And you can alter the range of the chart - try playing with it and you'll see.

And the US Fed stating they will keep interest rates low for the next couple of years means it is more likely UK interest rates will stay low which will keep the £ lower. And as for all the turmoil on the world financial markets the riots in UK will have virtually nil effect with regards to the £ against the €.

Got me worried for a moment, thought you meant euros to the pound rather than pounds to euro. Currently 1.336 (though probably changed by now). Was 1.8 back in March so definitely going the wrong way. However lowest point was beginning of July so probably nothing to do with riots.:thumb:
