Reading back through this thread, I wonder if it is your expired LGV that has muddied the waters for you.
Hi Mel (if I can be so forward using Mel) That was my take on it in the end, even though I was not intending to renew my LGV.

Phew.... For those that enquired, just received new drivers photo card from DVLA.

The issues and delays and not being able to renew on-line where due to me having LGV 1 entitlement, which I did not want to renew. I still have C1 & C1E entitlement for the next 3 years. Anyway all sorted. I can now get back behind the wheel.

As I understand the rules Alberto, you and I have to have a medical annually from age 65, if we wanted to keep our HGV/PSV categories, hence the D4, however, your C1 & C1E should not need renewing until age 70, whereupon a medical is required every 3 x years to retain them.
Mine expire 2027, with my HGV & PSV expiring 2022.

Edit.....Are you at the age of 67, hence only 3 x years left on your C1 & C1E?

Cheers,

Jock. :)
