I have a just enjoyed 'the golden age of canals' bbc 2.

Can anyone recommend sites either CL's. CS's or small sites which are canal side.

I would like to do a bit of a tour this late summer. Is there a comprehensive list?

Hi - we have stayed at and enjoyed both of these sites (out of high season ) a very short walking distance from the canals.

Wolverly CCC club site (Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal)

Devizes CCC club site (Kennet & Avon Canal) ... there is also a pub next door to the Devizes club site called The Three Magpies which also has a campsite although have not stayed there ourselves.

We have our own field with mooring, adjacent to the Trent & Mersey canal, and often stay there with the van.

Good site , we have been many times only problem but due to be sorted soon/ may have been by now - no toilets/showers on site. no problem to us as ex boaters we still have our BWB key that gets us into the shower / toilet block over the road at the marina.
