How does company treat travellers who arrive early for a ferry, do they

make you wait for your booked ferry

let you on the next availble slot with a extra charge

let you go as soon as possible with no extra charge

we bookedwith the caravan club on a cheap Sunday out, Friday back deal

When I have arrived at Dunkirk early before they have put me on an earlier ferry without a problem or a charge. They seem to be better than the P & O or Seafrance ferries. This was before they were taken over by DFDs so I do not know if they have changed the policy.

I heard if you told them you were taking lots of FB pies out of the country they would let you go on any earlier ferry and upgrade FOC to first class.

Hi

As has been said by others I arrived a couple of hours early for the DFDS ferry from Dunquirk to Dover, went straight to the check in and without comment they put me on the next ferry, which was the one before my booking. This was in May.:thumb:

The same has happened with P&O from Calais.

8 years ish
P&O Dover / Calais a few weeks ago. Arrived early, was asked if I wanted an earlier one (2 hrs ish) straight on, no probs.
Same coming back. 2.5 hrs early, the lass just said " boarding now, sir".
No payments involved either way.
