Do we have any weather forecasters on here please?

I'm looking to take the van to the western isles late August early September for a shakedown trip after the refurbishment at Timberland.

We plan to leave for our winter trip to Turkey in early December so I would like to do a couple of weeks wild camping before the trip.

What I could do with is a forecast for about 3/4 weeks ahead. So can anybody help please?

For some strange reason, this American website seems to be a lot more accurate at forecasting the UK weather...

What I'm looking for is somebody who can read the Atlantic charts and let us know if any high pressure is on the way.

You can put in any location and it will tell you there is no data.:ROFLMAO:

Probably because it is British.....If UK weather reports are anything to go by over the last year, I think they are just guessing!:ROFLMAO:

Or maybe the program is on 'maternity leave'....ever noticed the weather girls always get pregnant after a few weeks???

You and me both Don.

A problem for me too, is going to be the midgies. They just love me to bits, or should that be bites. :winky:

The best I could do was a 5 day forecast from Link Removed

Cheers,

Jock.

Maybe the best you will get on a long range forecast.

http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/singularities.asp

16 Aug 30 Aug Summer starts to fade as the first of the Autumn storms arrives bringing cooler, unsettled weather to many areas, high pressure may hang on in the South for a while longer. Confidence 67%

1 Sep 17 Sep The 'Old Wives Summer' begins as high pressure crosses the UK en route to Siberia bringing a period of 3 or 4 fine days followed by showers. Confidence 87%

18 Sep 24 SepThe Atlantic starts to return more Autumn storms during this period, the period around 23rd/24th is liable to gales. Confidence 60%

For short range forecasting I rely on the weather stone. :winky:
