Outside are far better in my opinion as they tend to be thicker:thumb:

The main reason for the screens, for us at least, is for eliminating condensation. Which means they have to be outside.

Our caravan had built in blinds that were silver on the back like the motorhome has now , similar sort of thing , keeping cold out heat in.
We did get condensation on the windows when we used the caravan through the winter though. But that could have been due to there being 2 adults 3 kids and 2 dogs in it.:ROFLMAO:

As for the O.P. question, silver screen outside. Get one with a flip down front with the mesh insert so you can keep it on and still see out . Great for the summer too , keeps the heat out.:thumb:

three reason's to choose outside screens over inside screen's

1 outside screens will keep your windscreen at the same temp as the inside of your motorhome and reduce condensation, inside screens will keep your windscreen at the same temp as the outside temp and will increase condensation on the inside of your windscreen.
2 outside screens are a whole lot easier to fit,no trying to get suckers to stick on windows while having an armrest inserted in your bum.:Eeek:
3 outside screens look better:thumb:

Outside all the time for us..............the only reason I have heard for using inside is that if being attacked you can drive away without getting out of the van

I agree with all the above but there is one other aspect not mentioned. If you are overnighting off-site and there is a chance you may wish to depart quickly (e.g. local pond life come to play) then inside screens can be removed without needing to leave the van.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't realise there was a second page and missed the post from icantremember

Both

Clearly in most situations outside is best.....but I think the security book ( a good read ) suggests that in a vulnerable situation..like wild camping..you should always be a a position to drive off fast.

If you are surrounded by zombies ( or other undesirables ) the inside screen would be better as you can pull it off without going outside.

So I guess it depends where you are ...and like the boy scouts say being prepared.
