does any one know where i can get the winding mechanism on the end of the awning from?
when i put the bar on and try to wind in the awning it just spins around:Sad:
ive took it off and its all threaded meaning i had to wind the canopy in with a spanner and strap it up to get home, ive been looking around on the net and can only find the electric ones and they are a bit on the expensive side.

when you place the hook end of the pole in the ring on the awning gearbox you need to pull it down and hold it down as you turn the pole :thumb:

unless the design has changed

Ok...design must have changed since mine was installed :thumb:

if your's wound out, it should wind in.....cant see the gears all striping while its stationary and if it had you would still feel some resistance as the remains of the teeth slipped over each other.

maybe worth a try pulling down......could have been stick down from new and just released itself.
clutching at straws maybe
