If you read this link I think the answer is no.

http://www.getdigitalradio.com/digital-radio-faqs

You might get the world service but it seems that you can only get european digital stations. I found some decent stations in Germany and Bruges - ok as long you don't mind not understanding what they're saying. And I picked Absolute Radio up in France ::bigsmile:

The only way you can get UK digital radio abroad is via Broadband or Freesat.

No - UK only
I have found a World Radio (Sony do one) is the best way and even that is not too clever.

Having said that I have usually managed to find the World Service and a few english speaking stations

Might be worth looking up BBC World Service on internet - it gives frequency and times for various countries

I get UK radio & TV in the house via freesat but in the car...........nothing but French stations. Now I love a lot about France but the radio ain't great!
I download podcasts and play these in the car.

If you have a cab radio that can receive the long wave frequency and you have a normal antenna on the outside of the cab IE (not hidden somewhere).

This will enable you to receive radio 4/world in most of Europe, even as far south as Morocco.

Make up a length of cable with a crocodile clips both ends, attach one end to the metal part of the antenna (at the bottom) then attach the other end to a metal stake in the ground.

Radio 4 is on 198 kHz.

The reception is very good until you get further south that mid Spain after that is does deteriorate a bit but is still usable.

Hi

Assuming it is a DAB radio you are thinking of it is unlikely to be of much use, even for local stations, as various countries use different standards for digital radio.

It is worth checking to see which standards are being used where on:- Link Removed
