A strenuous morning at the beach today, building sandcastles and leaping off dunes.
Then back to the campsite for an hour's swimming in the pool and to pick up the wetsuits and bodyboards.
After the beach, a walk round the harbour to see the fishing boats coming in.
Now it's fish and chips for the kids, a glass of wine for the adults and a bit of stargazing later thanks to the superb dark skies.

Is there anywhere better than Bamburgh?

Now that's what I call a beach!!! Your children look so happy--and how could they not be!
We (dogs, cats and I) spent the winter in Scotland, nr Falkirk, and the dogs loved Portobello beach, Edinburgh.

A beautiful part of the world but then again I am biased living not too far away ..... A boat trip to the Farne Islands from Seahouses is highly recommended :thumb: .
