I put this website together yesterday, almost all the photos apart the 2 of the kites were taken yesterday, so it was a busy day. The weather was on and off all day for picture taking but better pictures will be taken when I have a combination of vans on site with a bit of nice weather. Please give the site the once over and point out the typos and grammatical errors that are bound to be present:Smile: Thanks

The sites is officially open on Tuesday the 17th May

We are in a very rural backwater, miles away from most of you, so while we are not expecting many more than a few dozen visitors a year, we will be disappointed if you visit West Wales and don't call in:Smile: (JJ is asleep on site right now!)

I like the distance to local places, many forget that so good, any, and I guess not, public transport nearby?

Just a thought about pitches, is it worth mentioning sizes, ie for large MHs, and access for larger MHs?

Looks good to us Jim-I spent 10 mins trying to think whether LLAN could be 'phoneticised' in another way and gave up-well done :thumb:

Nice site, Jim!
Clean-cut and simple, which is exactly what you want from a camping website. Tells you what you need to know and doesn't have any of the confusing clutter normally associated with camping websites!

Well done! I will link you up to our new ones.....if i ever quit yapping on here for five minutes and get them finished!

Hope you get the bookings pouring in! Might even pop round and have an ebb - ooh! that was cornish! - as I have a few business meetings in Wales and Telford to attend.

I agree, but then we are both blessed by being welsh.
Perhaps you need a disclaimer stating it the nearest an english tongue will probably get.

Incidentally, think that 'eggs a plenty' should be 'eggs aplenty' as it a postpositive adverb.

hehe that should stir something.

Peter

You guys are a hard bunch to please!::bigsmile:

One thing I would suggest with the eggs, when we stayed on a site recently, they had a welcome pack of 4 eggs, little jar of the homemade marmalade and the info pack (wifi passwords etc)

It did end up in us buying more eggs (even though we had plenty on board) etc - might be worth looking into!

Need to find some time out of our busy schedule to get over to spend a few days at the site, just the sort of place we would love.

Having looked over the website, possible spelling mistake on the 'How to Find Us' section:

This is a live Google map so please use it, zoom in and out, as well as plane your route to us. Safe Journey.

Sorry if we are being picky.

Loss leader they call it! Promotes sales of further eggs/goods from the site, which means better profits...even if the fees went up a little, it would still be cheap for the facilities and views you have!

Just a very minor comment on the how to find us section. Would it not be better to say that the Goggle map is "interactive" rather that "live" (or did I just spot you in the field :winky:).

Since you mention this, could it be considered patronising ?

"What does he think we are, morons, I'll park in Bala lake before I'll give him business".

We're not allowed to correct that sort of thing on here !

'Clan' is a conventional phonetic rendering of the Welsh 'LLan'.

Just as 'Pa-ree' is for the French 'Paris'.

I'm sure the Welsh wouldn't be offended. (Is there a smiley for 'deadpan'?).

It does have the 'Loch' type of sound, F's are V's and so on.

Wales is probably the best place in the world to break down, as every place has the same name...

'Where are you Sir?'

'I'm in...erwhatthe-idunno'

So many people break down in Erwhatthe-idunno, that most recovery companies will know Exactly where you are, and are with you in a Jiffy!:thumb:
