Saw a large "A" class RV with the nearside mid (Not Belly) locker doors open on way back from work in Lincoln last night. Was on a dual carriageway (A46) and when I managed to turn round you were gone...:-(

Was it anyone on here?

Hope you didn't lose anything...I looked along the road on the way home and nothing.I guess you were coming back from the coast...maybe A158.

Dark coloured RV with Purple graphics...

Steve.

Not this time:thumb: but any other day it could have been
I have one that chooses to fly open at will.
I can not re produce the fault whilst stationary and have adjusted the catch as much as possible, but when IT decides its coming open, it will:Doh:

Both my A class RV's did this, lost a bloody barbecue once.
Like Geo I could never make it happen when staionary and no amount of adjustment stopped it. Must be flexing causing it I guess.

It did cross my mind Ror....I was concerned what damage it may have caused flailing about like that....

Hopefully they realised in time...

......................

Likewise on my '99 Landau..............on the A5 just outside Llangollen!:Eeek:
The HUGE domed lid off my Cadac hurtled across the opposite lane! Can't tell you how thankfull I was that nothing was coming the other way, could have been a disaster!

I ended up lying in the locker with a torch whilst ffi' locked me in. (Thankfully, we hadn't rowed so she let me out again:Cool:)
Turned out that the metal catch plate for the door wasn't high enough and the arm of the door lock was lying across the top of the plate, rather than latching behing it!
I ended up making a new, longer plate and that sorted it.
Didn't half make me check all the others!:winky:
