I have been out of action for the last few days, after having a cochlear implant fitted, must say I have had a bit of an bad head after, and very dissy,hopfully within the next few weeks it will be all turned on and over the next few months will be able to hear things i have never.if there are any more people out there who have had one , would be interested in what progress you have made :thumb:

Wow I hope it works and restore your hearing. We take all these things for granted so don't think of others struggling.

I don't actually know any adults but it made one heck of a lot of difference to the son of a friend.

I think the balance issue resolves itself pretty quickly, then it's a matter of getting the thing adjusted right for you.

Good luck with your recovery, my wife had one inserted about 4 years ago, the transformation was amazing, we only have to have the telly volume half full now and I don't get away with muttering the remarks that I used to. A really worthwhile operation.:thumb:
