It will be interesting to see if the freeing up of the 800mhz band does improve coverage in remote areas.

I would say with my Vodafone 3G dongle I am lucky if 1 place in 10 has we stop has 3G coverage. Its rubbish. I nearly always get 2G (Dial up speed) but 3G is concentrated around built up areas which for the sort of motorhoming we do is pretty pointless.

You might have a point there!
According to the 'Net, the frequency of 3G is in the 2-2.1 MHz range. The lower frequency of 4G should be a little more tolerant of hill and dale and the odd tree!::bigsmile:
